I often walk outside in the woods, in fields and around ponds and streams. The more I immerse myself in the natural world, the more pull I feel toward it. The Earth constantly reveals its wisdom, if we only stop to listen. Being in nature sometimes takes me to my childhood, and as a kid the woods held magic and pretend tales that sparked a creative wonder inside me. I kind of feel that way again. How does life go on after divorce? Self love.
Writer’s block. It happens without warning, especially when accompanied by a major life change like divorce, after 25 years of marriage. My creative flow is finally lodging itself out from that stuck crevice in my mind where it feels like life is sucking every ounce of energy out of me. I cursed this stuck place, until I realized that this same place gifted me with learning experiences that inspired me to have so much more to share, so much more to write in the long run.
